During IGN Fan Fest, Martin stated: "I can't say much, but there are discussions about making an Elden Ring movie. I don't know if it will happen or what my involvement would be; I'm already a few years behind on my latest book!"

But can Elden Ring be translated into a film? The game isn't like traditional narratives; its details are scattered throughout the world, requiring players to explore, interact with characters, and read descriptions to grasp the full story. Even Hidetaka Miyazaki, the game's director, previously mentioned that such a project would require a "strong partner" to bring it to fruition.
